Upside downasana… Take flight from fear to fun!
Explore the joy of turning your world upside down! In this workshop, Nirvana will take you on a journey away from the fear of falling to the joy of balance, while strengthening body and mind. From her background in circus, partner acrobatics as well as yoga, she will make inversions are accessible for anyone. Fantastic for warming your body, strengthening core and brings benefits to the nervous, cardiovascular, lymphatic and endocrine system. And, they are FUN! This workshop will explore a supported headstand (salamba sirasana), handstands (adho mukha vrksasana), forearm balance (pincha mayurasana) and shoulder stand (sarvangasana) beginning with a dynamic warm up and the use of props, the wall, bandhas and spotting. Develop the confidence to play on and off the mat. Expect to play, sweat, laugh and fly.
